As you may be aware, before I sell any Bidet on my website The Bidet Toilet Seat Store, I test them in my home for at least two weeks, because I want to make sure that you get a quality Bidet that will really work well for you and has at least 40 seconds of warm water cleaning time.

So I decided it was about time I talked about how much warm water time a Bidet Toilet Seat will give you before it starts running cold and why this is important to you. Most Bidets use a water tank that keeps the water warm until you use it. These vary in times ranging from 20 seconds to 60 seconds and some of the newer ones have a tank-less water heater that will give you unlimited warm water.

So, how much time is needed to clean yourself? It can be really different from one person to another, so let me try to explain this without being too graphic. For example: if you are fairly clean after number two and it only takes you one wipe to get yourself clean, then 20 to 30 seconds may be sufficient for your, but if it takes you two or three wipes or more to get yourself clean then you might want to consider getting a Bidet that gives you up to 60 seconds of warm water cleaning time.

Something else to consider if you frequently have diarrhea then you definitely want a Bidet that has up to 60 seconds of cleaning time and also a wide water spray like the Coway BA13 Bidet Seat, also great for caregivers. When a woman does number one and two at the same time, it’s obvious it will take more time and if you have a Bidet Toilet Seat that only gives you 20 seconds of warm water, that most likely won’t be enough.

This is something that I want you to be aware of before you buy a bidet, it wouldn’t be fun to later find that the warm water runs out before you are clean, because you don’t want to look like the disappointed guy in the photo. So make sure you know yourself first with the information I have giving you and pick a Bidet that will work for you. The shortest warm water Bidet run time I have on my website is 40 seconds. Don’t let anyone give you a sales pitch telling you that 20 or 30 seconds is enough if you know you need more.

Before you buy a bidet from my website or someone else’s, (Of course I want you to buy from me because I give the best service just read my testimonials, click this link to go my website Bidet Toilet Seat) ask questions and make sure you know what you are getting. I will always make sure you will get what works best for you.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call (866) 928-8491 or contact us by email, we looking forward to helping you with any questions you might have.

I have had several people ask me how much does a Bidet costs to operate, so let me share with you what I discovered. One thing I did know for sure… it wasn’t much, because my electrical bill didn’t change that much after I installed three Bidets.

So I searched the Internet and found a device that can monitor how much electricity you use.   You plug it into the wall, then your appliance into it and it works great. If you’re interested in finding power hungry appliances in your home, here is a link to the Kill A Watt meter at Amazon so you can learn more about it.

I tested the Clean Sense DIB-1500R, which has a tank-less water heater system, and also the COCO 6035R, which has a water tank, storing and keeping the water warm all the time.  Each bidet was tested for one week using only that Bidet with three people.   I used the same settings on each bidet, highest temperature for the water, the lowest temperature for the seat and without using the energy saver feature.

The Clean Sense used 3.68 KWH during the test and at 12 cents per KWH, this worked out to be a whopping $1.89 a month. Yes, you read that right, $1.89 a month, less than a cup of coffee at Starbucks. The COCO used 4.12 KWH and at 12 cents per KWH, this was 49 cents a week or $2.12 a month. Not really that big of a difference.

So why is there a difference? A tank-less system uses a lot of energy when in operation and no energy when not in use, whereas the water tank system uses less energy but keeps the water warm all the time therefore always pulling a small amount of power. All in all these two types systems are very close in energy cost.

Depending on where you live, prices for electricity can range from 6 cents to 18 cents per KWH with the average being 12 cents, which just so happens to be what I pay.  If you pay 6 cents per KWH, that works out to about $1.00 a month to have a Bidet in your home.

Some of you may be asking: what is KWH? This is what your electrical company uses to measure your energy usage. KWH stands for “Kilowatt Hour”. To explain what that means, let me give you an example.  If you turn on 10 light bulbs that are 100 watts each (a total of 1000 watts or 1 kilowatt) and leave them on for one hour, you will have used 1 KWH.  So, 10 light bulbs will cost you about 12 cents for each hour that you have them on.

As you can see, it cost very little to have a Bidet Toilet Seat in your home and as a mater of fact, you will spend way more than that on Toilet Paper. Also as you have gathered by now, the benefits of using a bidet will keep you feeling fresh, healthy and keep your medical cost down.

If you have any questions, please feel free to use this link to Contact The Bidet Toilet Seat Store.

The Travel Bidet/Portable Bidet was designed for when you’re away from home and don’t have access to your home Bidet Toilet Seat, but I would not consider it a replacement for a Bidet Seat.

Considering the size of the Portable Bidet and the fact that it only uses two AA battery, the cleaning ability works fairly well. It is by no means going to clean you as fast or as efficient as a Regular Bidet or a Bidet Toilet Seat; but it will usually get you clean with one tank full of water and sometimes two.

    Travel Bidet / Portable Bidet

    Travel Bidet / Portable Bidet

The Portable Bidet has two spray nozzles, one for posterior and feminine wash. When fully extended it is almost 12 inches long. When closed the unit compacts down to 6 inches.

Over all I’m happy with the Travel Bidet / Portable Bidet and very glad to have one when I don’t have access to my Bidet’s at home. I wished they had more power, but if they did they would be much too large to carry around and considering the alternative (toilet paper) I’m happy that someone decided to make these.

Travel Bidet / Portable Bidet is a well-made unit. The cleaning action will get the job done but with a little more work on your part. I’m rating this an 8 out of 10 and think you will be glad to have it when you are away from home. This will help you maintain your hygiene and you will only need toilet paper dry yourself. Here is a link to my website so you can learn more about the Travel Bidet

toilet paperThere has been a lot of talk lately about how ultra soft toilet paper is using a lot of virgin growth trees and putting a toll on our environment. People are becoming more and more concerned about the environment than ever before. With the US population at about 303 million, that can have a profound effect on the environment.

From my research, the average person uses about 23.5 rolls of toilet paper a year. I was reading on one website where a guy kept track of his toilet paper use and he used 49 rolls in one year. That’s one roll every 7.5 days compared to 15.5 for the average. I know my family used to use more than the average, thank god for the Bidet Toilet Seat.  According to the U.S. Census Bureau the average Family size is 3.19 people and that’s an average 75 rolls of toilet paper a year per family. Ouch that makes my bum hurt just thinking about all that toilet paper!

For each roll of toilet paper made, it takes 37 gallons of water, 1.5 pounds of wood and 1.3 KWH of electricity. Several sources said in the Untied States we use 34 million rolls a day and that takes 221,000 trees, 255,000,000 gallons of water, 161,000,000 KWH of electricity and gives off 88,000,000 pounds of Greenhouse Gasses. That is mind Blogging, just so we can wipe our butts.

This is how much is used every year:

    • 12.4 Billion rolls of toilet paper
    • 80.5 Million trees
    • 58.8 Billion KWH of electricity
    • 32.1 Billion pounds of Greenhouse Gases

With all that said, by using a Bidet Toilet Seat you can cut you toilet paper use from 75% up to 100%. Of course if you use no toilet paper you would need to use the air dryer that most bidets have. It seems likely to me that having no toilet paper in your home is not very practical, because people will need it for other uses.

I did some research at my local grocery store and I checked several brands in various sizes of packaging. What I fount out is that they range in price from a low of $0.78 to a high of $1.85 per roll, so that works out to a cost of $58.00 to $138.75 per year per average family.

But if you cut your toilet paper use by a reasonable 75% you could save any where from $43.50 to $104.06 a year on toilet paper and help out with the environment. With the average cost of a Bidet Seat being about $450.00 your reduced toilet paper use would pay for your bidet in about 4.3 to 10 years. Please keep in mind that these are only estimates and can vary depending on your use, price and size of your household.

Not only will a bidet improve your health and hygiene but also in the long run, your toilet paper savings will pay for your bidet. I would highly suggest that you check out my website and take a look at the approved Bidet Toilet Seat brands I have tested in my home at http://www.bidet-toilet-seat.com and find out why people are really love having a Bidet in there home.

Bider on highwayI’ve decided to do something different today, something other than a review, so please bear with me for a moment. Also, I have a gift for you, available for a limited time! I get a lot of comments from people about bidets and they range from, “I cannot live without one and just love them,” to, “Why the hell would I want one of those things?” I want to focus on why the naysayers think the way they do.

First off, the vast majority of us in the Untied States didn’t grow up with a bidet in our homes. Even if we did, most people would not use the old style stand-alone bidets because they required a lot of work. Once we get used to something it is very hard to change. For a lot of people, installing a bidet toilet seat in their home seems like a really dumb idea.

I’ve had people tell me that bidets are only for women, or guys saying they would not be caught dead using one. Sometimes people think bidets are a luxury item or they just cost too much. You have probably seen YouTube videos of people visiting Japan and making fun of how a bidet seat works, how weird it is and how they start giggling when the water hits their butt and they jump off the toilet. Okay, cute, but why such a reaction?

In our culture we don’t like to talk about our bathroom habits, let alone admit to someone else that we have a bidet in our home. For some people this change will be a hard one to make, unless they hear from someone they know and trust that a bidet toilet seat is a good thing to have, they might not consider one.

I was talking to one of my customers and he told me that before the doctor told him he should use a bidet because of a surgery he just had, he would have never considered using one for himself. He admits that like most, he had a mental block, but now is a convert and would not go back to the toilet paper way of life again. Most people around the world use them and don’t understand why we Americans don’t. People that have a bidet view them as a necessity.

For me it was a life changing event. I had hemorrhoids, bleeding and itching for years and it would wake me up through the night. I was miserable. Doctor visits and creams never did help that much but when I finally installed a bidet toilet seat, that all changed. I can now sleep all night long and got total relief from using my bidet.

I really love this business because every person ends up loving their bidet and for some, it will changes their life. I wish I could say a magic word that would allow you to get it so you can understand the benefits that a bidet seat will bring you. Besides, you can be a little more eco-friendly by using less toilet paper.

I can tell you this; I have been in this business for two years now and not one person has called or emailed me saying they don’t like using a bidet. And yes, some of those people were very skeptical like most Americans and had a hard time coming to terms with giving the bidet lifestyle a try. Those skeptical ones are the same people that send their friends to buy a bidet from my store.

I really do care about my customers, provide great service, and only sell quality bidet seats that I like and have tested in my home, because I want to make sure you are happy. If you are still skeptical I will give you an opportunity to get a discount on certain bidet seats I have in my store.

As always, if you have any questions or need help you can go to my website Bidet Toilet Seat Store and give me a call or drop me an email.

    To your health,

    Mike

    USPA 6800 Bidet Seat

    USPA 6800 Bidet Seat

The USPA Bidet Toilet Seat is one of my better sellers and everyone who tries them loves them. I also have the USPA Bidet in my home and use it a lot because it works very well.

The one thing you will notice about the USPA Bidet Seat is that it looks like a regular toilet seat but has a much cleaner and more stylish look than other Bidets. It is the only Bidet that, when you open the lid, hides the tank so it’s hard to tell it’s a Bidet Seat, like the photo on the right.

The remote control for the USPA Bidet is a comfortable hand-held size and also quite user-friendly for most people. It comes with a magnetic caddy that you mount on the wall which also quickly removes for holding.

This is a list of what it does:

    •    Fits most one and two piece toilets including Kohler’s San Raphael and Rialto
    •    Warm Air Dryer with Temperature Adjustment
    •    Heated Seat with Temperature Adjustment
    •    Deodorizer to Eliminate Odors
    •    Anti-Bacterial Nozzles and Seat
    •    Occupied Seat Sensor
    •    Easy Removal for Cleaning
    •    Water Filter for sensitive skin and long operation of unit (not required)
    •    Soft Closing Lid and Seat
    •    Self-Cleaning Nozzles
    •    Splash Guard
    •    Very Easy to Install
    •    Energy Saving Mode
    •    Self-diagnosis
    •    Ultra Sonic Soldering for a Waterproof Seal
    •    Oscillating Cleanse (moves back and forth)
    •    Aerated Cleansing Function
    •    Adjustable water pressure, temperature, and position
    •    Two Separated Nozzles for front and back side cleaning
    •    All Plumbing Connection parts included
    •    Soft Start Cleansing
    •    IIP Function (Intensive Impulse Pulsation) to help with stimulation
    •    Full One Year Warranty and 3 Year Limited Warranty
    •    Wireless Remote Control

The cleaning action for the USPA Bidet Seat is great and does not require as much work on your part; plus, with the addition of air mixed into the spray, it’s much more effective that just water alone. You have lots of control and many adjustments to suit your needs.  The air cleaner works effectively and the air dryer got me completely dry in just under three minutes.  The IIP function does a efficient job of simulating you when you’re constipated, but it’s not an enema function.

All Bidets fit different needs for different people, however I believe that the USPA Bidet will fit the needs of most. I am giving theUSPA Bidet Seat a 9 out of 10 and would not hesitate recommending it to anyone. It will make a fantastic addition to any bathroom and is great way to improve your hygiene.

You can follow this link here, USPA Bidet Toilet Seat to read more about it on my website. There is also an informational video posted, so you can learn more about how it works and how easy it is to install. In any case, don’t forget I am more than happy to help answer your questions and look forward to hearing from you.

    HomeTech HI-3000 Bidet Seat

    HomeTech HI-3000 Bidet Seat

I first installed the HomeTech HI-3000 Bidet in my home a little over two years ago. It was also my first bidet seat and I cannot tell you what a change it made in my life. Here is a link if you would like to read My Bidet Story.

I really like the HomeTech HI-3000 Bidet Seat and what I like most about it is that it’s very easy to use. The control panel sits up high, within easy reach. This bidet has the most basic functions that you will find on any bidet toilet seat. It has a warm seat, warm water, front and back nozzles and soft-closing seat lid. You have control over the seat, water temperature and water pressure.

As far as the cleaning action goes, all bidets will get you clean, some will just do it a little faster with less work on your part. The cleaning action on the HI-3000 works well but will require a small amount of work on your part. The warm water lasts about 40 seconds and will is enough for most people.  The front nozzle gives a gentle but effective spray for the ladies.

If you are looking for a bidet seat with all the bells and whistles the HI-3000 might not be the right bidet for you. However, if you are looking for a bidet that is easy to use, has a fair price, will get you clean and is a quality unit with after-warranty service, then the HI-3000 Bidet will fit the bill. Because it has less working parts than most bidets, it is also less likely to break down.

I would rate the HomeTech HI-3000 Bidet Seat an eight out of 10. If you would like to find out more about the HI-3000 Bidet or other units here is a link you can follow:  HomeTech HI-3000 bidet.

    Coway BA-13 Bidet Toilet Seat

    Coway BA-13 Bidet Toilet Seat

First off I appreciate the look of the Coway Bidet, it is beautiful and a true work of art. In some ways the BA-13 is a lot like the BA-08 but with a number of improvements and added functions.

The cleaning action is one of the best on the market, if not the best. I really like being able to control the width of the water spray; that is a plus in my book and comes in handy when things get messy. The instant water heater is like a tank-less water heater. It only consumes energy when in use and saves on energy when you’re not using it. More importantly, it will give you warm water as long as you need it. The BA-13 Bidet only uses 1200 watts compared to other instant water heater Bidet Seats that can use from 1400 to 1600 watts that may require an additional circuit.

The deodorizer works better than most Bidet Toilet Seats, but none of them will ever work 100% unless you can seal off all gaps, however, they do make a big difference. The Active Carbon Filter will last seven years. Woongjin Coway is the only Bidet Company to have stainless steel nozzles. They use these to give their nozzles a longer life and for greater hygiene. On top of that, they are cleaned with water that has passed through a built-in Silver Oxide Nano Particle Treatment System with anti-fungal and anti-bacterial properties that also lasts up to seven years.

The air dryer works very well but like most bidets you will have to sit from one to two minutes before you’re totally dry. The remote control is small, fits in your hand well, is easy to use and looks great. Like the BA-08, the BA-13 Bidet Seat also has added air to the water that that helps clean you more efficiently, which you’ll definitely appreciate.

Woongjin Coway is a top-notch company which spends a lot of money on research that will benefit their customers and provide them with quality products that will last. The Ba-13 comes in white only.

I really like the BA-13 Bidet Seat and would highly recommend it to anyone that needs style, great cleaning action and quality. On a scale from one to 10, I am giving the BA-13 a 10. Here is a link to the BA-13 Bidet Seat.

I just started a new Bidet Seat Forum so you can ask questions, read other comments and become more informed. Here is the link Bidet Toilet Seat Forum.
